Dermal fillers are substances that can be safely injected into or under your skin in order to restore smooth texture and youthful shape. Dermal filler also rejuvenates and contours your face and lips. Dermal Fillers fill defects, deep wrinkles and depressed scars, and re-creates facial contours lost with aging. By them-selves, or combined with other techniques such as Botox, fillers can be used to make you look years younger without the risks and discomforts of surgery.
The filler plumps up the area where it is injected. Fillers are natural substances that are gradually metabolized. Fillers also stimulate collagen production in your skin, giving you a longer lasting effect. Any treatment with fillers are not permanent, but lasts 6 months to 2 years, depending on the filler and the treatment.
Dr. Singhal uses very fine needles and canulas to place fillers in key regions of your face where loss of volume has created changes, resulting in an aged and tired appearance. Dr.Singhal uses fillers to give a more youthful, refreshed and beautiful appearance.
Common treatment areas include:
- Cheeks – It all starts with the cheeks where volume loss is often apparent and dramatic effects are accomplished in many other areas of the face.
- Smile lines: also called the nasolabial folds, are the lines that run from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth.
- Marionette lines: the lines that run downward from the corners of the mouth.
- Corners of the mouth: also called the oral commissure, if these are turned downward it can make you look as though you’re sad or angry.
- Jowl: the area on either side of the chin, where skin can sag due to loss of facial volume.
- Chin: With Volume loss , women can lose the beautiful oval shape of the face that can be enhanced or corrected with Fillers.
- Tear Troughs: the area below you eye that create “bags and hollows under the eyes”.
Treatments can take years off your face.
Singhal uses various Hyaluronic Acid Fillers which are injectable gels that gently reverses many signs of aging in the face, including deflation , drooping, fine lines and wrinkles, crow’s feet, thinning lips and loosening skin. It can also “plump up” the lips, sculpt the cheeks, and restore a youthful oval shape to the face.
It is made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that works with collagen and elastin to give volume and support to the skin. Because it is non-animal-based and highly biocompatible, no pre-treatment testing is needed. Juvéderm comes in many formulas optimized for the depth of the area being treated.
Results last about 6-9 months and can be made to last even longer with a simple follow-up treatment a few weeks after the initial injection.
Fillers | Perlane®
Perlane® is manufactured by Galderma the same company that manufacturers Restylane. Perlane® is primarily the same product as Restylane® but Perlane® filler contains a larger concentration of hyaluronic acid. Because of this higher concentration of hyaluronic acid, Perlane® is usually used for larger folds, while Restylane® is better suited for smaller wrinkles or to maintain the results of a previous Perlane® injection.
Perlane® is made from non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) gel. This means that Perlane® contains no animal products. Since hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the skin and other tissue, there is no need for a skin test when using Perlane® filler.
The hyaluronic acid in Perlane® injections supplements the body’s natural supply, which becomes depleted with age. Perlane® is biodegradable so its effects are not permanent. The results of a Perlane® filler treatment tend to last six months to a year. This is much longer than the typical results of collagen injections, which may only last three to six months.
Fillers | Restylane®
Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It carries little risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth). With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane remains in your skin for many months.
